An exceptional, low mileage example that has been lovingly cared for and maintained with meticulous attention to detail.
This car has come from the collection of my late Uncle, Gordon Jarvis. As Chairman of the Rootes Archive Centre, he had dedicated much of his life to the Rootes Group both through work and as an avid enthusiast. After starting his career as a Rootes apprentice, Gordon never lost his loyalty to the brand and spent his entire working career with the Rootes, Chrysler, Talbot and Peugeot brands. However, it was in his spare time that he promoted the Rootes brand and was one of the most well known faces in both the classic car and motorsport world as he campaigned his various classic road and rally cars in both the UK and Europe.
This particular car has been featured on the stands at several Rootes and classic car events and some of the photographs are shown here.
It is a 1725 engine with twin stromberg carburettors. The car is pristine throughout and still smells new inside. It drives without fault and regularly travelled to events under its own steam rather than being trailered.
I don't hold vast amounts of paperwork for servicing as Gordon was more than qualified to competently service and maintain the car himself.
I would be proud and delighted to show the car to any enthusiasts interested in purchasing the car and will help, where possible with any specific enquiries.
